There are a lot of beautifully framed shots in this. The music also goes a long way to conveying your emotion. Could have used a credit sequence though. Other then that, Great work!
some of your shots seemed a little too energetic to fit my definition of peace, but the shots in the middle of the video helped to balance your concept.
It was a very pretty video and showed great technical skill. I feel however that the cool colors gave a feeling of sorrow or sadness. And the flash-backs created a longing sensation rather than a peaceful one. That can be seen by the reaction on her face before and after the flash-backs. She looked sad rather than at peace. I wish warm colors would have been used instead, it would have given the video a much calmer feel. But that's just my opinion. Overall it is a beautiful piece.
It is clear that you have technical control over your image and strong compositional skills. Pay attention to screen direction and how shots connect together. The biggest downfall in your video as it relates to peace is in the structure. The CU shot of your face was a good idea but not perfectly executed. If you were taking a deep breath and looking more peaceful it may have helped. It is incredibly hard to shoot yourself because you never know what you are getting.
I really liked that it opened with you running because a lot of people find peace in running and just getting away from everything.
